Serge Fils-Aime
was born in the island country of Haiti where even as a child he took
great joy in music. At age six he visited the United
States briefly before returning to Haiti. At age fourteen he
returned to stay.
Growing up in
Jersey City, NJ, he got bit by the DJ bug and begin spinning under the
tutelage of the (DJ) "Bionic Man." Serge soon spread
his wings and took off on his own learning to mix anything that has a melody
or beat. Specializing in all Caribbean music (Haitian,
Reggae, Salsa, etc.) he soon became just as quick to spin Hip-Hop,
R&B, Jazz and anything else you'd care to name.
DJ Serge has
played at clubs throughout the metropolitan area, for corporations,
colleges, festivals and of course weddings and parties. For info

Above all else
DJ Serge is a craftsman, being a DJ is his art. People who have
had DJ Serge for one of their events know that he can tailor music to
any occasion. "I can't" and "I don't have
that" aren't even in this DJ's vocabulary.
For Serge being
a DJ is not a job it's a labor of love. Second only perhaps to
his love of family and his roots. You can take the man out of
the island, but not the island out of the man.
